Faceting

I have been faceting for many years.  I cut mainly for my own enjoyment, and occasionally for conpetition purposes.  I do not cut gemstones on a commercial basis, but will occasionally accept commissions from individuals or jewellers for a one-off specialty stone.

My machine is a Hall 2000. It is very solid, and mostly made from brass and stainless steel.  It used to be made in Cairns, Queensland by Laurie Hall.  The patent for these machines was sold by Mr Hall when he retired.  They are now called the OMNI machine, and are manufactured in the States.
